Orange’s ZTE Blade V Review

Orange ZTE Blade VIt’s probably a little too easy to dismiss the ZTE Blade V as another smartphone from China with run-of-the mill hardware specs. But, your interest may immediately be aroused when you hear about its Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz quad-core processor.

Then comes Orange’s prepaid, off-contract pricing at only £99.99 and you may be genuinely surprised. The Blade V does sound like a powerful device with dirt cheap price. But for many of us, this could be where the excitement ends.

There’s really not much beyond its impressive processor model. The weak GPU and relatively small battery capacity would prevent us from getting the most out of such a powerful processing capability. Nevertheless, any popular apps and games should run smoothly.

The ZTE Blade V is equipped with 4-inch WVGA display, Adreno 203 GPU, 4GB of internal storage, 5Mp rear-facing camera and 1800mAh battery. It’s also a good thing that ZTE puts less emphasis on customized Android skin. Considering its low price tag, the ZTE Blade V is still a great solution for those expecting above average performance level.
