The Ascend Mate is the biggest smartphone Huawei has ever released with its 6.1-inch display. For specific type of consumers, size does matter, since there are people who are more inclined to obtain an oversized device. Overall, the Mate is a fairly well-built phablet with its solid construction.
A thick, hard glass covers the front side of the devices, with a thin metal frame on the sides. On the left side, there’s a microSD card slot; while volume rocker and power button are positioned on the right side. MicroSIM slot and standard 3.5mm audio jack are on top, with microUSB port for data transfer and charging located at the bottom.
The 720p resolution gives us 241ppi of pixel density, which is rather decent. The 1.5GHz Huawei K3V2 quad-core processor is similar to what we saw on the Ascend D Quad ZL, which should be able to chow down everything users throw at it.
