The Sony Xperia E is a bigger sibling to the more compact Xperia U. Designed as a no nonsense affordable smartphone, users shouldn’t have any complaints with how the device feels and looks. Its rather cramped 3.5-inch HVGA display is a standard component in the entry-level category.
With Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) preinstalled, the Xperia E has an advantage over many affordable budget devices; which typically use the older Android 4.0 ICS. The new OS version offers a number of useful features including Google Now, improved battery life and better predictive dictionary.
Sony has also added the Infinite and Timescape customizations on top of the stock Android build. Users also get additional connectivity options and an extended homescreen.
The Sony Xperia E is available from T-Mobile UK for £99.99 with Pay As You Go plan, which includes 100 minutes of talktime, 400 texts and 1GB of data per month.
