The BlackBerry Q5 is undeniably a budget handset with its 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 5Mp rear-facing camera, which is a noticeable step down from Q10’s 8Mp shooter. It’s quite easy to tell apart which images taken by which device. However, shots should have realistic and natural colors when taken from the Q5 under ample sunlight.
For those who faithfully cling on to BlackBerry’s keyboard solution as though their lives depend on it, will find the Q5 satisfying with its nice physical keyboard. It also has the same 3.1-inch (720 x 720) display, which rivals Apple iPhone 5 in terms of pixel density.
The Q5 also comes with similar BB10 interface, with is fairly neat design. The grid-based interface layout is easily readable, but unfortunately, there are no live homescreen widgets available for the mobile platform. The 2180mAh battery is roughly similar to the one we find on the Q10; which delivers longer runtimes thanks to the slower processor. BlackBerry Q5 is available from Orange UK for £269.99.
