The new Nexus 5 is finally revealed. Google gives us an official announcement, release and information and pricing details Months of waiting and speculation are finally over. The Internet giant is planning to make a comprehensive wide-scale launch all around the world that involves many retailers.
In the United Kingdom, Carphone Warehouse is selected as the initial seller of off-contract Nexus 5. Many users in the UK have been expecting to get the Nexus 5 at crazy-low pricing, but this may not be the case. Carphone Warehouse begins selling the Nexus 5 at £295 and we can’t call it as being affordable. Nevertheless, the Nexus 5 is still a high-end smartphone priced like a mid-tier device. As comparison, Carphone Warehouse sells the Nexus 4 at £389.
To sweeten the deal somewhat, the first one thousand buyers that purchase a Nexus 5 and LTE contract will obtain the older Nexus 7 tablet for free. This isn’t a bad deal, if buyers can be fast enough to grab it.
As reminder, the hotly anticipated Nexus 5 comes with 4.95-inch 1080p display, 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, Android 4.4 Kit Kat and 8Mp rear-facing camera.
