Nokia’s flagship, the Lumia 1020 has been available on multiple major carriers in the United Kingdom and prepaid subscribers can now obtain the device from Clove UK. The Lumia 1020 distinguishes itself with its powerful 41Mp PureView camera, which delivers unparalleled image quality in smartphone market.
The camera module is equipped with the OIS (optical image stabilization) feature, LED flash for videos and Xenon flash for images. Other important components are 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor and 4.5-inch (1280 x 768) AMOLED display. Upon its global launch, the device stirred plenty of waves and many prepaid subscribers in the UK have been waiting to purchase high-end WP8 (Windows Phone 8) device.
Although the device is steeply priced at £588 including VAT, the unlocked model is ideal for users who refuse to commit themselves to a long, binding agreement with any carrier in the UK. Clove UK has shipped the black and white models of the device on September 26 and the yellow model may arrive in a few days, possibly on September 30.
