Motorola Will Release Low-Cost Moto X for Prepaid Subscribers

Motorola Moto XMotorola has recently taken the wrap off its newest Android smartphone, the Moto X, which confirms pricing information and specs list. We heard previously that the Moto X will be available for £193 off contract and Motorola finally said that the phone will arrive for £128 on-contract, which puts the phone in similar category with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Apple iPhone 5. However, Motorola also has a plan to release a more affordable version of Moto X, which will be placed at a lower price tier.

A senior employee from the company said that current affordable smartphones offer sub par experience level and with the upcoming phone, Motorola will keep it both affordable and cutting edge.

The phone is aimed for both prepaid subscribers in the United States and international users. Both are typically considered as price-sensitive groups, which prefer cheaper smartphones with older technologies. Motorola declines to offer up additional information, but the low-cost Moto X should be an interesting addition in the prepaid markets.
